Monday Mix 180430: The Weeknd, 2 Chainz, Miguel, Russ, Rae Sremmurd, French Montana, SZA
Very vibe.
Making this list, I was holding off on stuff more upbeat like Powerglide, but I think it breaks it up and that track in particular has such a good groove anyway.
I really like the features on Reminder. I think they change and enhance the vibe of the song.
I was surprised that I was into most that 2 Chainz album. Very stupid album name, but "It's a Vibe" ended up being the thesis statement here.

Monday Mix 180423: Sister Machine Gun, The Young Gods, Meat Beat Manifesto, Die Warzau, Nine Inch Nails, Front 242
Kernel track for this one was Asbestos Lead Asbestos. I tried to find other industrial tracks with heavy texture and dreamy structure. A slight sub-theme of pummeling percussion. And I love bookending so I did that with track title for a little fun.

Monday Mix 180416: Acen, Phuture Assassins, Moby, Messiah, Nikolai
Archiving my introduction to club culture in the early 90s. Heavy nostalgia for these songs and the aura of excitement from the thrill of discovery they emanate.

Monday Mix 180409: Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Alabama, Brooks & Dunn
Country is not my thing, but my ear does bend every once in a while.
This list is sort of an abstract narrative of coming of age, finding love, heartbreak, true love, family, and reflecting on a life well-lived.

Monday Mix 180402: Hilary Duff, Lily Allen, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, Republica, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus
Inspired by International Women's Day, I put together this list of powerful, woman-fronted pop anthems.
The list crescendos with "Get Outta My Way," but I just love "Malibu" as a reflective cool down on the list.
