Sparked by Die Warzau's Material, this list conveys my appreciation for heavy texture and, often, speed in hard music.
HEALTH ends up being a little bit scattered for me across their whole discography, but this album is wonderful. Conceptually consistent, ever-engaging, and beautifully executed. I'm certain they'll be off into another style for the next album, but I'll be holding on to this one.
Youth Code. I love Youth Code. This album is produced by Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly). Nothing I've heard since the 90's quite hits me as authentic and fresh, yet true to the genre, as Youth Code.
