Last week I did a Monday Mix featuring the originals of many of these songs. Not to take away from this project, but these are some pretty decent songs to start off with.
Track selection, production, and execution make these recordings by Rick Rubin and Johnny Cash treasurable.
It's pretty badass how "God's Gonna Cut You Down" has become popular among baseball players as walk up/entrance music. I love it.
